Course overview

An awareness course to introduce the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, known as PUWER.

Work equipment is used in nearly every workplace, from hand tools to complex machinery. But are you confident it’s being used safely, legally, and responsibly?

This course is designed for:

  • Employers with responsibility for workplace safety.
  • Supervisors and Managers overseeing operational activities.
  • Safety Officers and compliance leads.
  • Employees who use work equipment as part of their role.
  • Health and Safety Professionals seeking a clear refresher or introduction.

Whether you manage equipment, supervise its use, or operate it directly, this course will help you understand your responsibilities under PUWER.

Learners must pass a multiple-choice assessment to receive a certificate recognising completion of this awareness course. 

Qualification level

This is a non-accredited course. It does not result in a formal qualification. A Certificate of Completion is awarded upon successful passing of the assessment.
