How to Recognise and Challenge Bias

This course is relevant for anyone in any workplace. You will explore common types of bias and learn strategies to overcome these mental habits, promoting a more productive and engaging environment. By increasing awareness of our unconscious assumptions, we can better address and mitigate the impact of implicit bias.

On completion of the course, you will be able to:

• Describe and identify how unconscious bias develops through the brain's natural tendency to categorise people, information, and experiences
• Recognise the five types of unconscious bias and identify when they may occur
• Explain the impact unconscious bias can have on people, decisions, and workplace culture.
• Understand the practical techniques to recognise and challenge unconscious bias in everyday work situations.

Learners must pass a multiple-choice assessment to receive a certificate recognising completion of this awareness course. 

This is a non-accredited course. It does not result in a formal qualification. A Certificate of Completion is awarded upon successful passing of the assessment.
