Course overview
Occupational health is a shared responsibility involving management, employees and occupational health professionals.
This course explains how occupational health and occupational hygiene support effective workplace health and safety management. It explores how both areas help organisations identify, assess and manage health risks to protect workers and create healthier working environments.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, you will be able to:
- Explain the roles of occupational health and occupational hygiene in workplace safety
- Identify the five classes of workplace health hazards
- Identify strategies to manage worker health
- Identify employer responsibilities to support workers with health conditions or disabilities.

Qualification level
