Delivered by experienced tutors, our IOSH training courses are available to take online, in a classroom or in-company, suitable for people from a variety of industries and job roles.

Can I do IOSH online?
You can do an IOSH training course online with British Safety Council by selecting our Digital Learning or Virtual Classroom options.
Our Digital Learning training course can be completed online, in your own time. You will have access to all the resources you need to gain your IOSH certification, plus unlimited support from tutors.
Our Virtual Classroom training method is also completed online but is taken at a set time with a group of other health and safety learners. This provides an online experience akin to the traditional, in-person classroom event, with a live expert tutor.
How long does it take to get an IOSH certificate online?
It takes around 8-12 hours of online study to prepare for an IOSH Managing Safely assessment and three hours for IOSH Working Safely.
The IOSH Managing Safely assessment consists of a 45-minute test and a risk assessment exercise, which takes up to two few hours. IOSH Working Safely is assessed through a 30-minute hazard-spotting test.
