Learning outcomes

This self-paced Fire Risk Assessment course is designed to give learners a strong foundation in risk assessment and the confidence to contribute effectively to fire risk assessment activities.

The course helps reduce fire risk by raising awareness of how to identify, evaluate, and control fire hazards through prevention measures, as well as how to implement appropriate fire protection controls using a simple fire risk assessment approach.

It is also suitable as a refresher for responsible persons for fire prevention.

On completion of the course, learners will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of fire risk assessments
  • Recognise how fires can start and spread
  • Understand the principles of controlling risks associated with fire.
