Stephen Haynes is Director of Wellbeing Consultancy at British Safety Council. With a career spanning over 30 years, he specialises in the design, implementation and management of strategic workplace health, safety and wellbeing programmes. Stephen works with organisations globally to help them understand and address people risks while optimising the overall employee experience.

His expertise includes the development of targeted interventions—from optimising support infrastructures and leadership development to creating mental health and psychosocial risk management frameworks, attendance management models, and behavioural change programmes.

Stephen has held roles in both in-house HR teams within multinational organisations and leading global consulting firms. He has delivered numerous multi-national wellbeing strategies and is an accomplished speaker and workshop facilitator, known for empowering teams to learn, collaborate and drive meaningful change.

Previously, Stephen served as Head of Programme for British Safety Council’s award-winning mental wellbeing charity, Mates in Mind.
