Brief description of the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Learning Development Specialist to join our Education team on an 18-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will use your health, safety and compliance expertise to support the development and quality assurance of our digital learning products. Working closely with digital developers, you will help create clear, engaging and technically accurate content for adult learners.
You will be involved throughout the course development process, from reviewing scripts, storyboards and assessments to testing course builds and carrying out quality checks before release. This is a great opportunity for an experienced health and safety trainer or content specialist to bring their technical knowledge into digital learning and help create practical, accessible and high-quality learning experiences.
What we are looking for
- A minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent recognised Level 3 health and safety qualification.
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training, PTLLS or equivalent.
- Broad and up-to-date health and safety knowledge, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to adult learners.
- At least two yearsโ experience delivering health and safety training to adult learners.
- Experience developing or reviewing health and safety course content or learner resources.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong content writing, review and quality assurance skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good digital skills, including Microsoft 365, PowerPoint and AI tools, with a practical approach to using technology to improve efficiency and productivity.
- The ability to manage priorities, work independently and provide constructive feedback to colleagues.
- Experience in digital course development, e-learning, quality assurance or supporting NEBOSH Certificate-level learners would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of LMS, SCORM, authoring tools, accessibility or JIRA would also be desirable.
