Brief description of the role
As we approach our 70th anniversary in 2027, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Engagement Coordinator to help bring this milestone to life.
Working across the organisation, you will coordinate and deliver an exciting programme of anniversary activities throughout 2027. You will work at the heart of our anniversary celebrations, bringing together people, ideas and creative campaigns to deliver a memorable programme that inspires our audiences and showcases the impact of British Safety Council.
This is a varied and fast-paced role where you'll work with colleagues across the organisation, balancing multiple priorities and helping to ensure projects are delivered successfully, on time and within budget.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract starting from August 2026. Occasional flexibility around working hours will be required to support events and other key activities throughout the year.
What we are looking for
- Strong project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working across marketing, communications, digital, events and brand activity.
- Experience managing external agencies, suppliers and budgets.
- Highly organised, proactive and confident working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience delivering large-scale events, anniversary programmes or working in the charity sector is desirable.
