With a strong focus on health, safety, and operational excellence, POD sought to benchmark its safety standards against one of the highest industry standards by undertaking the British Safety Council’s Five Star Occupational Health and Safety Audit.

As a company managing multiple properties, POD faces the complex challenge of ensuring consistent safety practices across different locations. The audit required a detailed review of health and safety policies, risk assessments, employee engagement, and leadership commitment to a safety-first culture. Achieving a 5-star rating meant not only meeting but exceeding industry best practices.

Over the course of the audit, POD worked closely with the British Safety Council auditor to conduct an in-depth evaluation of POD’s health and safety management systems. Working collaboratively with British Safety Council throughout the extensive audit process, POD was awarded the prestigious 5-Star Rating, signifying outstanding performance in health and safety management. The auditor commended POD’s positive welfare and wellbeing, stating:
