Course overview
Working with Hazardous Substances is divided into three interactive modules:
Module 1 – Learners examine what is meant by a hazardous substance, how they can get into the body and how they can cause harm. Learners look at a range of workplace activities where hazardous substances are used or generated.
Module 2 – Learners focus on COSHH risk assessment and the risk factors that should be considered. They are introduced to safety data sheets as a key source of information when assessing risk.
Module 3 – Learners consider how risks from hazardous substances can be controlled and managed. They take a virtual tour of a workplace and consider the various risks and controls as they go.
What is the outcome?
On completing the assessment, you will receive a certificate recognising your completion of this awareness course.
