Brief description of the role
We are looking for an experienced Strategic Account Manager to join our UK Sales team and play a key role in expanding our reach and impact. In this role, you will take ownership of a portfolio of strategic accounts, building strong relationships and taking a consultative approach to understand and respond to clients’ long-term needs across safety, health, wellbeing, and sustainability.
This is a rewarding role where, through your work, you will help organisations improve standards and make a meaningful difference to people’s lives. You will identify opportunities, shape tailored solutions and drive growth across key areas, including Audit & Consultancy and training, while achieving commercial targets that enable us to reinvest in our purpose. You will also act as a commercial lead within a product area, sharing insights and collaborating with colleagues to ensure an excellent client experience.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a commercially driven and relationship-focused professional who brings:
- Proven experience in B2B sales and account management, ideally within health & safety or a related service sector
- A strong track record of managing and growing strategic or large accounts
- Experience of consultative, solution-led selling and delivering against targets
- The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience in developing account plans and identifying new business opportunities
- Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding commercial targets
Desirable:
- Experience managing tenders and large bids
