British Safety Council is a leading organisation in occupational health, safety and wellbeing. We are seeking a proactive and organised People Coordinator to join our Human Resources team and support the delivery of high-quality people services across the organisation.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong HR administration experience who enjoys working across the full employee lifecycle, values accuracy and confidentiality, and takes pride in providing a professional and supportive service to colleagues.

How you'll make an impact:

· Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including advertising roles, coordinating interviews, managing applications through PeopleHR, and communicating with candidates.

· Coordinate onboarding and induction processes to ensure new starters have a positive and well-organised start.

· Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring data quality and compliance.

· Support payroll processes by preparing and checking monthly payroll information.

· Coordinate probation processes, mandatory training, and e-learning completion.

· Support wellbeing, health and safety, and employee engagement initiatives.

· Provide timely, professional HR support to employees and managers.

· Contribute to HR reporting, surveys, audits, and continuous improvement activities.

What we are looking for:

You will be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service.

 

You will have:

· Previous experience in an HR administration or people support role

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

· Good verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused approach

· Confidence working with numbers and data, with the ability to produce accurate reports and identify trends

· A professional, discreet approach with a strong commitment to confidentiality

 

Desirable:

· Working towards an HR or Business Administration qualification

· Experience supporting HR processes within a professional service environment
