Business Development Manager – Wellbeing and Culture Change
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our UK Sales team, with a focus on wellbeing and culture change solutions. This is a consultative, client-facing role responsible for acquiring, developing, and managing accounts, ensuring both new business growth and long-term client retention. Working closely with colleagues in sales, operations, and delivery, you will play a key role in providing solutions that meet organisations’ long-term safety, health, wellbeing, and sustainability needs. You will also support the wider organisation through industry insights, client feedback, and relationship-building across sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets and KPIs through a consultative approach.
- Develop and implement clear solutions sales plans, acquiring and growing accounts.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through multiple communication channels (phone, Teams, face-to-face, email).
- Create tailored proposals and manage tender processes from bid to contract.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and excellent client experience.
- Stay up to date with industry developments, competitor offerings, and BSC’s full portfolio of services.
- Proactively manage renewals, client retention, and account lifetime value.
- Maintain accurate client records and pipeline reporting in Salesforce.
- Represent BSC at industry events, seminars, and conferences.
About you
We are looking for a motivated, commercially minded business developer with a proven track record in consultative B2B sales. You will be able to demonstrate experience of managing large national accounts, building strategic relationships, and delivering profitable solutions in the wellbeing, culture change, or related sectors.
Key Skills and Experience
- Minimum five years’ B2B sales and account management experience in health, safety, wellbeing, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated success in new business development and growing key accounts.
- Experience of delivering bespoke, solution-led proposals and managing tender processes.
- Excellent networking, presentation, and negotiation skills at all levels.
- Strong organisation and time management skills, with CRM (preferably Salesforce) expertise.
- Ability to work field-based and remotely, with travel to clients across the UK.
- Full clean driving licence required.
