Course requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification, but’ it is recommended that learners should already have an underpinning knowledge of health and safety issues, and many will have gained another NEBOSH qualification, such as the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. It is also important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.
Assessment
The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management is assessed through a multiple-choice assessment of 40 questions which is completed online via NEBOSH’s Online Assessment Platform. Learners can begin their assessment at any time within the 24-hour window but, once they have started the assessment, they must complete it within the designated time frame for the unit 90 minutes for PSM1). These assessments will also be remotely proctored by NEBOSH to ensure their integrity.
Results and certificates
NEBOSH will email you your results directly approximately 15 working days from your assessment.
Qualification parchments are issued by NEBOSH normally within 20 working days of confirmation of the successful PSM1 unit.
Learning progression: What’s next?
Once completed, our students often continue their studies by completing a NEBOSH Fire Safety, NEBOSH Construction, Foundation in IEMA or a NEBOSH Diploma. Please contact us to discuss your options.
