Learning outcomes

This self-paced Certificate in Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Risk Assessment provides learners with a strong foundation in risk assessment and the confidence to contribute effectively to the risk assessment process.

The course raises awareness of how to carry out a suitable and sufficient DSE risk assessment, covering the five steps of risk assessment and how to identify, evaluate, and reduce risks associated with DSE workstations. It is also suitable as a refresher for responsible persons who already have DSE duties.

On completion of the course, learners will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of DSE risk assessments
  • Understand the principles of controlling risks associated with DSE workstations
  • Understand how a DSE risk assessment is undertaken in practice.
