The three-day course is delivered in a well-equipped training centre.

Students are challenged to set up a new business and put in place the measures required to ensure the health, safety and welfare of employees and others. Students are immersed in a realistic workplace scenario and are faced with a series of team challenges.

The student-centered nature of the exercise allows learners to draw on existing knowledge and instincts. The tutor acts as facilitator and adviser, rather than ‘lecturer’.

This innovative approach not only prepares students for their IOSH Managing Safely assessment but equips them to play an active role in managing health and safety in their own workplaces.
