There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however it is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.

Assessment and Results

It involves a personal commitment (action plan)

To complete this course, learners must pass the IOSH Safety for Executives and Directors personal commitment assignment.  This consists of an action plan relating to the learning on the course; you must write up to three actions that you commit to taking in your workplace appropriate to your level of responsibility. Each commitment must state an outcome goal, a performance goal and a process goal that is relevant to their level of responsibility within their organisation.

You will receive your results within 2 weeks and your certificate parchment within 8 weeks of the successful completion of the course.

Learning progression: What’s next?

Once completed, our students often continue their studies by completing a NEBOSH National General Certificate or Foundation in IEMA, or sometimes broadening their knowledge with our shorter courses, such as BSC Risk Assessments.

British Safety Council will:
