Virtual and augmented reality training
Experience the future of training with our new virtual and augmented reality (VR / AR) exercises.
Immersive learning
A digital environment where the learner has a real sense of being there

Immersive learning is ideal for behavioural skill training as it involves learning by doing.
The immersive nature of VR and AR, the feeling of presence along with the ability to perform the task is ideal for engaging the behavioural skills learning system. Students learn by doing, receive feedback and engage in repetitions of the skills they are learning. This process promotes the formation of habits.
Virtual and augmented reality provide a safe environment, where making mistakes is not only okay but enhances the overall learning. Post training skills learnt through VR can be applied directly to the real world.

Experience learning with VR
We have created a fully immersive training experience which is intuitive and easy to use but will challenge the learner’s ability to evaluate risk in a hectic real-life environment.
How does it work?
Using an Oculus Go headset or Google Cardboard viewer and smartphone, learners enter a computer-generated environment where they carry out a risk assessment, learning by doing.

Learners can make mistakes and understand consequences of failing to follow process. They can also learn the correct procedures through trial and error.
Benefits
- Learn in a safe, realistic, controlled area
- Simplifies complex problems and situations
- Suitable for different learning styles

Delivery
Due to COVID-19, we are currently unable to offer our VR exercise in classrooms or send out Google Cardboard headsets to online learners. We apologise for this inconvenience.
At our London training centre
We provide each student with an Oculus Go headset.
Online or at your workplace
We provide each learner with a Google Cardboard (that you use with your smartphone). Alternatively, you can use any compatible VR headset.

How does it work?
Through the screen learners see a life-sized piece of equipment.
They are asked to complete tasks but are given no further instruction. This is a challenging activity where learners draw upon their knowledge and experience to complete the task safely without error.
