NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management

The NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management is the leading qualification for managers who need to ensure that their organisation is compliant with fire safety legislation. Holders of this qualification will be able to carry out fire risk assessments confidently in low risk workplaces. NEBOSH qualifications are mentioned in 90% of health and safety job adverts, which means that people who hold the Fire Certificate have much better job prospects.

The NEBOSH Fire Certificate is valued by employers. Gaining this qualification will boost your career prospects. Holders of the NEBOSH Fire Certificate can apply for technical membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (Tech IOSH). Many students then progress to the NEBOSH National Diploma (Grad IOSH) and from there to chartered status (CMIOSH).

Learning through virtual reality

Test your risk assessment skills with our new virtual reality (VR) exercise. Learn through discovery by assessing the risk of harm from a number of work activities in a virtual workplace. 

VR is available online and at select venues nationwide, including our London Hammersmith training centre.

Two x 2-hour written examinations and a short workplace-based assignment

How can I study?

We recognise that everyone is different, which is why we offer a choice of study routes.

You can attend a course at one of our training centres or we can deliver the course in your workplace.

In your workplace

We can visit your workplace and deliver the course on dates of your choice. This is an effective way of training a group of people as it saves on travel costs and allows students to keep in touch with work.

The 10-day course can either be delivered as two 5-day blocks or, if you prefer, as separate days over a longer period. 

Written examinations are taken two weeks after the course and the workplace-based assignment is submitted one week after the examinations.

Our well-equipped training centres allow you to get away from the distractions of the workplace and focus on your qualification. Courses are held throughout the year in London, Birmingham and Manchester.

The 10-day course (two x 5-day blocks) is delivered by a highly qualified and experienced tutor in an interactive and engaging manner which makes learning easier.

Written examinations are taken two weeks after the course and the workplace-based assignment is submitted one week after the examinations.
