Speaker Profile:
Phil Pinnington - Head of Audit and Consultancy, British Safety Council
Phil has a breadth of operational management experience in road logistics spanning over 16 years before switching careers to become a Health and Safety practioner. He has since had 19 years operational experience within a variety of business sectors operating across the UK starting with Downstream fuels, through Logistics and social care finally as Director of Health and Safety at the Glass and Glazing Federation, the international trade body for the glazing industry . He joined the British Safety Council early in 2020 and during the early days of the pandemic played an active part in the development and delivery of the British Safety Council’s Covid-19 Assurance Service. Since August of 2022 he has stepped into a more strategic role however continues to stay grounded to the core functions of the department by undertaking audits seeking to add value to BSC clients whilst encouraging their progress to ever continual improvements in Health and Safety.
