Free resources and webinars to help employers and employees during coronavirus

To help protect your workforce from the risks associated with coronavirus we're offering several of our courses for free until 30 June.

NEW British Safety Council Guidance

We have developed a detailed general return to work guide across all sectors. The framework should enable organisations around the world to develop robust protocols and arrangements, designed to effectively manage the risk of transmission of COVID-19 as far as is reasonably possible within their workplace.

Free posters

Our posters remind workers to follow good health, safety and wellbeing practices during the Covid-19 outbreak. The posters encourage staff to walk or cycle to work to maintain social distancing and to help keep themselves healthy; and to set up their home computer workstation correctly. If you have children, ask them to colour the posters in and tweet them to us @BritSafe.

Become a supporter

We are inviting small organisations (50 employees or less), supporting the effort to tackle coronavirus, to join our network of like minded individuals who share our vision that no one should be injured or made ill through their work. We understand that during these trying times, small organisations might need a little extra help and this is where we can step in. Become a supporter now!

Free online courses

The British Safety Council believes that no one should be injured or made ill through their work. This is why, during these very challenging times, we are offering some of our digital courses for free to support employers and employees through this period of change and uncertainty.

Managing Mental Health

Provides line managers with the skills and confidence to listen to and talk with someone who feels that they need to share a problem regarding their mental health.

Stress Awareness

This practical online course will help employees identify, manage and reduce their own stress. It will also make them aware of the consequences of not doing so.

Mental Health resources

We work proudly in partnership with Mates in Mind to address mental wellbeing in the workplace. Connection and communication with our colleagues, especially in times of stress and anxiety is extremely important. By providing support in small ways employers can help their employees cope with the current situation, reduce anxiety and stress, and keep them focused on their work.

It is crucial to support the mental health of yourself and your employees whilst home working.

It's important to establish long distance management practices to support the health and wellbeing of your people.

Managing Stress Within Your Team

Essential for every responsible manager, the Managing Stress Within Your Team course highlights some of the pressures their teams might face, helps managers become more aware of their own actions and behaviours, and most importantly it helps manage and reduce stress levels within their team.

Mental Health Awareness

Mental Health Awareness is a 45-minute session which will get workers thinking and talking about mental health.

Remote Workers' Health, Safety and Welfare

Our Remote Workers course teaches you how to protect the health, safety and welfare of your employees when they're working remotely, whether at home or anywhere else outside of the usual office environment. Learners are encouraged to think about policies and procedures in their own workplace and must pass a short multiple-choice assessment to complete the course. The course also includes a self-assessment form for remote workers to complete.
