John Lynch's personal experience of the NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
My story
The resources and support provided were excellent with particular praise for the support and lecturing ability provided by British Safety Council trainer, Kevin Evenett. I would recommend British Safety Council for the quality of their resource materials, and the supportive environment provided at the venue. I had little need to contact my account manager but when required he was always helpful.
The approach I took to studying and preparation was “little and often”. The amount of detail and work required is daunting and the only way to get through it is to work steadily and to make a start. The most useful advice I would offer would be to obtain a copy of all of the previous exam papers and the examiners comments and to go through the previous questions. This is time consuming but I felt it the best way to test my knowledge and to understand the type of question you are likely to face.
“The NEBOSH Diploma course itself has given me the required core knowledge to enable me competently undertake my day to day role. The fact that I also achieved the highest mark for the NEBOSH Diploma Course has certainly increased my confidence and faith in the decisions that I make on behalf of my company to keep our employees safe.”
