What does it cover?
British Safety Council Certificate in Supervising Staff Safely qualification teaches the learner about the principal legislation relating to health and safety, the enforcement of legislation and the consequences of breaching it. It covers health and management systems and the role of the supervisor in identifying hazards and assessing risks.
The learner will become proficient in all aspects of the supervisor's role – from prioritising action to addressing risks, recommending suitable control measures, improving the health and safety culture and reporting and investigating accidents and near misses.
This qualification is an essential element for anyone wishing to become a supervisor or team leader with responsibility for the health and safety of employees.
How does it work?
Candidates complete an online multiple choice assessment task consisting of 17 questions. Once the assessment is submitted, candidates can expect to receive their results almost immediately. Upon successful completion candidates will be able to download the electronic certificate.
