In celebration of our 60th anniversary, the British Safety Council is offering free, highly interactive and fun 90-minute workshops to help you run successful and safe activities. Anyone working or volunteering, particularly in the Hammersmith and Fulham and surrounding areas, is welcome to attend.

We know that when setting up or running a business or planning voluntary group activities, health and safety can appear complex and off-putting. That’s why we’ve developed this short, practical introduction to key health and safety concepts that will help remove the mystery and enable you to successfully get on with your plans and activities.

Workshops will involve small groups working together, using their existing knowledge, instincts and experience to identify hazards, causes of incidents and ways to prevent them. Our 60 years of experience will guide you through these activities.

Using simple and easy to understand language, workshops will focus on three specific themes:

  • Risk assessments
  • Learning from incidents
  • Managing our activities

At the end of the session you will be able to use practical information to help make your activities successful and safe, whatever you want to achieve.
