Our publications are led by the monthly Safety Management magazine and we also publish monthly best practice guides and posters. These publications are available in digital formats only. You can subscribe to them or purchase specific copies. Two free e-newsletters are also delivered monthly: one contains news of occupational health, safety and environment developments, as well as updates on British Safety Council activities, and one highlights some of the news and features in Safety Management.

Biography - Colette Willoughby

A highly qualified health and safety professional, Colette has an MA in Health and Safety Law and Environmental Law; and holds the Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health.

Colette’s career in the asbestos industry began in 1982: she has experience in all aspects of asbestos control, management, training and legal compliance, in addition to providing expert witness advice for both civil litigation and criminal prosecutions. Colette is also the Managing Director of Asbestos Compliance Limited (ACL).

Additionally, Colette is BOHS’ Principal Examiner (Asbestos), and holds the BOHS Certificate of Operational Competence in Asbestos. She sits on the Management Committee of BOHS’ Faculty of Asbestos Assessment and Management (FAAM), the association for asbestos professionals. She also sits on BOHS’ board of examiners for the Certificate of Competence in Asbestos, and as such is responsible for advising on the technical content of all BOHS asbestos-related exams. Colette has spent many years as a technical assessor for UKAS, for both Testing Organisations and Inspection Bodies; she is also Chair of the trade body the National Organisation of Asbestos Consultants (NORAC).
