The Outstanding Bravery Award recognises individuals or teams who have demonstrated an outstanding act of bravery, which without their intervention, could have led to significant harm to others, damage to property or even the loss of life.
Shortlisted applicants will be highlighted in Safety Management Magazine and on all British Safety Council social media. The winner will be announced at the gala event and further publicity will follow the event.
Eligibility to enter
The Outstanding Bravery Award is open to anyone with an interest in occupational health, safety and wellbeing. Applications must be made by site or business unit. To be eligible, a senior person at that site must confirm that since 1 January 2018, the site or business unit has NOT:

- There are no ongoing criminal investigations or prosecutions pending in relation to this site/business unit.
Please note that checks will be made and a false declaration will lead to disqualification.
We invite you to consult the frequently asked questions for further guidance and details.
