Level 1 Certificate in Health and Safety at Work
for schools and colleges
The BSC Level 1 Certificate in Health and Safety at Work is a progression route from or alternative to the BSC Entry Level Award in Workplace Hazard Awareness (Entry 3) which is freely available to all schools.
The Level 1 Certificate provides a formal assessment outcome to the delivery of health and safety in the National Curriculum and contributes to school performance figures (6.3 points).
The British Safety Council provides free teaching materials. Assessment is via a 40-question multiple-choice examination which is available on-demand throughout the year.
Upon successful completion of the qualification, your school will receive a plaque recognising your commitment to educating young people about health and safety in the workplace.
