FREE health and safety qualifications - Entry Level Award
in Workplace Hazard Awareness

Entry Level Award

Every 40 minutes, somewhere in the UK, a young person is seriously injured in the workplace. Last year in the UK 180 people were killed at work.

The British Safety Council is paying for all 14-19 year olds in full-time education and those not in education, employment or training (NEET) to gain a free health and safety qualification.

Assessment is portfolio based and we recommend about 6-8 hours teaching and assessment time.

All the marking is done by the British Safety Council.

The award itself is a nationally recognised qualification that fits neatly into existing programmes of study such as PHSE, ASDAN and work-related learning. It contributes 3.5 points to school performance figures.

To become a registered centre please complete the Registered Centre Agreement Form and return it to us by post, email or fax (0208 741 5907).

Once we have received this completed form you will receive a teacher resource pack.

To register candidates for the entry level, please complete and return the Candidate Registration Form.

Over 50,000 young people have already gained a free British Safety Council qualification.
